I think for me, growing up overseas and spending time among the Aborigens in Australia and experience life of tribes in Africa, it is culture. It’s kind of ironic, because I ended up working for Ansel Adams as his last photographic assistant, so I think there’s an element of landscape to it. I love landscape photography. So I think right now I would consider myself a cultural photographer that puts people in the landscape. My photographs are all about creating a landscape in which to put my models, the cultural people I want to photograph.
